Welcome to the 1st and 6th Ayrshire Sea Scout Group! We offer fun, adventure, and essential life skills to young people aged 6–14 in Irvine. Join us as we build confidence, foster teamwork, and explore the outdoors.
About us
It all began a long time ago,over 100 years as a group
1st & 6th Ayrshire Sea Scout Group – Irvine We are a small, community-focused Sea Scout group Beavers, Cubs and Sea Scouts based in Irvine, providing fun, adventure, and life skills to young people aged 6–14.
From learning to swim, kayaks and canoes , to camping, teamwork, and leadership skills, we help young people grow in confidence while having a great time.
What We’re Working On
We are currently developing and improving our programme and facilities to give our young people even more opportunities. This includes:
Expanding water-based activities
Upgrading equipment and resources
Celebrating over 100 years of Scouting in our community
We Need Your Support
As a small charity, we rely on volunteers and community support to keep going.
We are currently looking for: New volunteer leaders (no experience needed — full training provided)
Young people to join
Beavers (ages 6–8)
Cubs (ages 8–10½)
Scouts (ages 10½–14)
Support from the local community through donations or partnerships
